DIRECTIONS TO THE CHESHIRE HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Open Sundays (September - May), 2 to 4 p.m., or by appointment.

FROM THE WEST (I-84 east) Take I-84 east to Exit 26. Merge onto Route 70 (Waterbury Rd. which becomes West Main St.) and continue for 3.7 miles to the intersection with Main Street (at Post Office). Turn right onto Main Street and continue to the next traffic light (intersection with Route 10). Turn right onto Route 10. Church Drive is the second right. The Cheshire Historical Society is just before the large white Congregational Church.

FROM THE NORTH (I-84 west or I-91 south) Take I-84 west to Exit 27, I-691. Take Exit 3 (Cheshire-Route 10) off of I-691, and make a right turn onto Route 10. -or- Take I-91 south to Exit 18 (Meriden-Waterbury). Take I-691 to Exit 3 (Cheshire-Route 10), and make a left turn onto Route 10. Go south on Route 10 for about 4 miles to the center of Cheshire where Route 68/70 junction with Route 10 from the west at a traffic light (Cheshire Academy on the left). Continue straight through this traffic light and the next traffic light. Then, take an immediate right turn onto Church Drive. The Cheshire Historical Society is just before the large white Congregational Church.

FROM THE SOUTH (I-91 north) Take I-91 north to Exit 10 (Cheshire-Mt. Carmel). Continue on exit road until it ends at Route 10. Turn right and follow Route 10 north about 7 miles. The Cheshire Green and Church Drive are on your left, just before the junction of Route 10 with Route 68/70. Church Drive is a one-way horseshoe shaped street in front of the large white Congregational Church. Enter at the north end of the Green. The Cheshire Historical Society is the second building on your right.

FROM THE SOUTH & NORTH (Route 15) Take Route 15 to Exit 61, Whitney Avenue, Hamden. Go north for about 9 miles. The Cheshire Green and Church Drive are on your left, just before the junction of Route 10 with Route 68/70. Church Drive is a one-way horseshoe shaped street in front of the large white Congregational Church. Enter at the north end of the Green. The Cheshire Historical Society is the second building on your right. FROM THE EAST (Route 68) Take Route 68 west to the junction with Route 10 (Cheshire Academy on right corner). Turn left on Route 10. Church Drive is the first (immediate) right turn. The Cheshire Historical Society is just before the large white Congregational Church.

FROM THE WEST (Route 68) Take Route 68 east to the junction with Route 10 (Cheshire Academy straight ahead). Turn right onto Route 10, and drive past one traffic light. Church Drive is the first (immediate) right turn beyond that light. The Cheshire Historical Society is just before the large white Congregational Church.
