FOURTH ANNUAL CONNECTICUT OPEN HOUSE DAY SATURDAY JUNE 14, 2008
The Cheshire Historical Society participated in the Fourth Annual Connecticut Open House Day, a unified celebration of the state's art, history, film and tourism on Saturday, June 14 from 11 AM to 3 PM. During the one-day event, the Cheshire Historical Society's Hitchcock-Phillips House, and approximately 200 other organizations and attractions throughout the state, opened their doors and offered special incentives to visitors.
In addition to providing docent-guided tours of the 1785 house, the society showed a 10-minute film tracing the history of the house every 30 minutes and gave each visitor a free historical postcard. Admission was free.
